The poetry workshop ended its fourth six-week session at the end of May. Many of the participants have been involved since the first session in early 2007 but there are new and beginning writers each session as well. The workshop is open to all adults. Much progress has been made in learning about poetic principles and craft. Enthusiasm is high. Many are ready to submit their poems to literary journals in hopes of publication. The group is grateful to the James River Arts Council for its support and sponsorship.
The next six-week session will begin in the fall. The workshop meets at the library in Scottsville on Thursday afternoons from 1 :30 - 4:00 PM.
