The trombone quartet Mr. Jefferson's Bones will perform at the Scottsville Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, June 25 at 7:30 p.m. sponsored by JRAC

The quartet members, Gary Elwell, John Hollenbeck, Tom McKenzie and Robert Mott, are some of the Shenandoah Valley and Charlottesville's most experienced and talented trombonists.

The group headlined Staunton's "Jazz in the Park" 2006 summer concert series. It developed and presented a worship musical entitled ~'God's Trombones: Jazz and the Gospel" with guest trombonist and recording artist Harry Watters. They have made ground¬breaking concert performance at the Paramount Theater and the Omni Hotel in Charlottesville. They have also performed at numerous other local events.

For the Scottsville concert, the group plans a varied repertoire of classical, sacred and jazz pieces, including works by Beethoven, Haydn, Brahms, Hoagy Carmichael and John Philip Sousa. The Presbyterian Church is located at Bird and Valley Streets in Scottsville. There will be a reception following the concert. Hope to see you there.
