Ruth
Stone has been the Executive Director of Piedmont CASA since June
of 1995. An attorney with experience in foster care, social work
and family law, she holds a Juris Doctor from the College of William
and Mary and a Bachelor of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth
University. Ruth is very interested in promoting community collaboration
and serves on the Charlottesville-Albemarle Commission on Children
and Families, the Martha Jefferson Hospital Leadership Council,
the Department of Criminal Justice Services Children's Justice Act/CASA
Advisory Committee and the Charlottesville-Albemarle Family Drug
Treatment Court Task Force. Married and the mother of two, Ruth
has lived in Charlottesville since 1980.

Phoebe Frosch
trained as a CASA volunteer in 1996 and currently advocates for
her fifth CASA child. In September of 2005 she came to work in the
CASA office as a CASA Supervisor and as of July 1, 2007 has taken
over the position of Development Director. Phoebe holds a Master's
Degree in English at the University of Michigan, where she taught
composition and expository writing for five years, and a Juris Doctor
from Georgetown University Law Center. She has worked as a freelance
writer and a research attorney in Family Law. The mother of two
daughters, Phoebe runs and bicycles in the Blue Ridge Mountains,
and greatly enjoys living in downtown Charlottesville.

Becky Mooney
served as a CASA volunteer for more than a year before joining the
staff as a CASA Supervisor. She has also assumed responsibility
as the CASA representative to the Family Treatment Court, which
is enhanced by her first hand experience of serving on a case in
Family Treatment Court. Becky's husband is a CASA volunteer too
and they have two children and two dogs. When she has time, Becky
enjoys quilting and running.
Denise Oinonen
started at Piedmont CASA in February 2007. She had previously worked
at the Charlottesville Department of Social Services for over six
years as a Foster Care Social Worker. Additionally, she worked for
three years as a counselor for the Runaway Emergency Services Program
(RESP). For the last six years she has been a Hotline Counselor
doing after-hours crisis counseling for RESP. Denise has a Bachelor
degree in Social Work and a Master of Social Work. She replenishes
her energy by communing with nature and her animals.
Susi Wilbur
started as a full-time CASA Supervisor in September 2007. More will
be coming.
