Memorial to Those who gaves their lives

The final panel of the African American Genealogy Group’s 2002 display, “True to Our Native Land,” was a memorial to African Americans from Charlottesville and Albemarle County who died in times of national crisis. Names were identified from family members, cemetery records and published sources.
